Its intelligent water system (I.W.S.) removes chlorine, lead, aluminum, and copper, while an organic additive eliminates almost all calcium carbonate to prevent scale build up. Thanks to modern RFID (Radio-frequency Identification) technology, the cartridge also communicates directly with the coffee maker to collect information about filter use and activate the appropriate mode. Once exhausted, it alerts the user to ensure optimal effectiveness.
